PAD Challenge - Day 27

From Robert Lee Brewer:

Today is Poem in Your Pocket Day; so carry around a poem in your pocket today. Or roll like me and carry a poem in your pocket every day.

For today’s prompt, use at least 3 of the following 6 words in your poem (using a word or two in your title is fine); for extra credit, try using all 6:
  • pest
  • crack
  • ramble
  • hiccup
  • wince
  • festoon

  1. For Spring

I ramble the woods of spring
    Did I festoon trees
    with flowers or did
    spring winds wince seeing
    shameless naked branches and
    Hiccup until they budded?

  3. Mosquitoes are such a great pest
On my body, they’re having a fest.
    One bites and I wince.
    I hiccup and since
my mouth’s open I swallow the rest.

  4. My Dumb Poem

I hiccup and my tummy does rumble
Being hungry is such a pest
I wince with as one more hiccup
Does in and explosion does crack

  5. Paul had the hiccups
    just the other day
every time he hiccupped, he winced
    I tried to scared him
by making a very loud crack
    it didn't work
    so I rambled on awhile
then told him a pesty friend
of his got kicked out of his mom's house
and I told them he and his wife and
three children could move in here
    ...he stopped short on his
    way to the kitchen and
    said rather loudly, "WHAT"!
How are your hiccups I giggled
    You little minx! They're gone!
He festooned me with flowery words
    for ten minutes after!
