Snuggled in the back
ReplyDeleteof his van,
which held a soft mattress
for willing girls.
And yes, I was one.
What was his
name? I don't remember,
but I recall
the tattoo of rain
on the roof,
keeping beat with music,
with his hard cock,
as Earth, Wind and Fire
sang "Don't wait,
don't wait 'til tomorrow."
I had to get this written quickly before anyone else decided to use "Earth, Wind and Fire". LOL
Deleteawesome write. the images and sounds come alive. and yes I wondered who would be the one to use earth wind and fire :-)
Deletedarn. i was gonna use earth wind and fire lyrics, but my ex girl stole the album, along with a lot of other things - love and comfy vans - paul.
DeleteExcellent, vivid, and effective. You write well girl!
Deletethe imagery was very colorful... :-) I loved it!
DeleteWhat on earth will I write?
ReplyDeleteYes, it's my prompt and
while the poetic fire still burns
in my heart and in my soul
it's like a big cold wind
has blown away all my thoughts
they drip like water from leaves
after a summer rain.
LOL. I love it when people write poems about the prompt! Cute.
Deleteaawww you managed it bonita. surprised there is no wet and windy pussy cats in there ha ha - love and peace - paul.
DeleteLMAO. I missed the word "cats" when I read it at first and thought paul was getting pretty personal talking about a "windy pussy."
Deleterotflmao!!! omg Victoria! I can't stop laughing!
DeleteI like it, I like it!
DeleteI like it too. It's very clever and you fit all the words in.
Deletenow. would i ever be rude to a lady?....unless she asked me to ha ha.
Deletewe know a lot about wind, rain and fire around here. not so much about the earth.
ReplyDeleteJUST A SERIES OF EVENTS
from mud, to man to madness
from love, to loss, to sadness
this time it's gone too far
maybe all the good books and music have already been written
maybe all the good girls are already smitten
maybe my destiny is to die in a bar
on the other side of the earth
where my mother gave birth
the wind and the rain blow me north and south
east and west
been through the ultimate test
the fire of her kiss is still in my mouth
lost in the rain storm of her emotions
incinerated by her love potions
the stars we would wish upon
are now gone.
" all these memories will be lost....like tears in rain " - bladerunner.
nice promt bonita. might squeeze another poem out later in the week.had to burn the other one.
I'm impressed you actually stuck to the prompt and did a nice job of it too!!
Deletegreat job Paul! love the line the fire of her kiss is still in my mouth
Deleteoooh, good one, very dramatic and well done, hauntingly so.
Deletevery well done!!! "...lost in the rainstorm of her emotions..." you have a great way with words.
Deletethanks karate girl. i do tend to veer away from the promt, but we know a lot about rain in england..eeerr mud and madness too - love and peace - paul.
Deleteyep. she still burns me daily bonita. being the little devil that she was - your friend - paul.
Deleteyou know me tash. it has to be dramatic or funny, or both. oh! and sometimes a bit crazy too - love and peace - paul.
Deletethanks wolfie. a metaphor for her crying, sulking, whining and pouting to get what she wanted of course. still i could never resist the big brown eyes and the pouting - love and peace - paul.
DeleteIn my travels upon this earth
ReplyDeleteI've seen the paradox of nature
the gentle wind like a single soldier
writing a deep heart felt love letter
many thousands of soldiers exchange
pens for guns and the wind roars
...at hurricane speed...
the sweet fragrant campfire glows
in the soft night; catching leaves aflame
as the wild fire rages
they pray now for rain
clever wolfie. pens for guns. like it. they will take my pencil out of my cold dead hands. the wind tends to get stronger as we get older and the fire a little less warm. take care of your hip - love and peace - paul.
Deletewonderful imagery!! lovely poem!
ReplyDeletebonita made me promise not to burn this poem. though it got a little singed.
DeleteGOOD GUYS WEAR RED
the flowers were all dead
the words unspoken
love lies bleeding and broken
good guys wear red
when all is said and done
much more is said
the emotional starving need to be fed their daily bread
good guys wear red so it doesn't show the blood
while doing what we know we should
thorns in the flesh and thorns in the mind
in the city of rain and wind, it's hard to be kind
fire and fury is all i can find
just drink booze. i left water behind.
- paul.
Dramatic!!! However, it is a very good one and I am glad you did not burn it and that's a fact.It is good to see your new work expanding on your themes.
Deleteyay!!! I had saved the text messages just in case you did burn it! just fit earth and fire in there and you have all the words for the prompt.. lol! I hadn't noticed how close it came to the prompt when reading the text messages.
Deleteooohhhh...it came close tash. the match was right underneath it. i always to to expand and push any limits there are. i'll get back to my fun poems when certain events have been resolved - love and peace - paul.
Deleteheeyy i got rain wind and fire in there. just forgot about the earth bonita. was goona put " the earth lies bleeding and broken" but it doesn't work - didicated to you. you saved it - paul.
Deleteone more and i'll behave. eeerrr pretty sure you'll like this one.
ReplyDeletePIGGIES
put a ring through a piggies nose and lead it anywhere
elect polititions that don't care
passively watch the drowning of the polar bear
just pretend everything is just and fais
" screw the world as long as i have money and pretty hair "
no! i didn't vote for you
i know your kind through and through
get the queen another castle
while the rest of us deal with endless hassle
we the peasants just go along
singing the same old slavery song
the difference between right and wrong
most people forget when the work bell tolls bong!
all we have for free is the wind and the rain
a fire in our bellies to start again
on this good earth we have laid
every sensible child should be afraid.
the " screw the world, as long as i have money and pretty hair " quote was from an ex girlfriend of mine.
A good rant, my friend, and I can't say I disagree, though I might put it differently if that was my style to do so. Never was one for protest, though I used to sing the songs at one time. I thought that last verse was particularly good.
Deleteawesome write! yes politics is all about the sheeples blindly following whoever promises them the most for free but it never turns out to be free.
Deleteend of the 4th line should be " fair " not " fais ".been protesting all my life tash. can't say it ever achieved anything though. benefit gigs for the poor shouldn't be needed in a country that spend billions on nuclear submarines....i like my submarines yellow - love and peace - paul.
Deletei sort of grew out of politics bonita. it all just seems so pointless and childish. calling each other school yard names and resigning in a big sulk...hmmmm i've better things to do.nothing is free except the earth, rain, fire and wind...oh! and those little packets of sugar you get in crappy restaurants ha ha - take care - love - paul.
DeleteElemental Message
ReplyDeleteMy feet are planted on the earth,
The wind is in my hair,
I feel the springtime coming
When the weather will be fair.
While snow may linger on the ground
and frost bedeck the roof
the birds are singing mating songs
and bringing me the proof.
The rain is falling on my face
joy's in my heart to share
the fire deep within the earth
seeds life that lingers there.
I know that winter's melting,
despite the falling snow
I see it in the swelling buds
and in the sunset's glow.
I feel the springtime coming
despite each wintry blast.
the light is slowly lengthening
and winter cannot last.
very pretty
Deleteindeed tash. winter cannot go on forever...even here.love the word bedeck. gonna have to steal it off you. don't know what i'm gonna do with it, but i'll think of something. a bit early for spring, but sortta getting there - love and peace - paul.
DeleteThanks Bonnie and Paul, kind words are always appreciated.
DeleteAnd it is only Wednesday, I feel proud!
